Suggestion #1 ~ A New Year. A New Life. A New You.

A New Year.

A New Life.

A New You.

#1 of my 10 suggestions.  Based on my 30+ year journey.  Given to you.  As gift.  Hoping to light your tunnel this new year.

1.    Set the intention to heal.  Even if you don’t believe healing your “broken” self is possible.  Especially if you don’t.  Repeat the phrase, “I am healing” as often as you can.  Let it become your mantra.  “I am healing.”

Healing begins with you.  You must take the first step.  You must lean in.  You must have a clear vision of where you want to go ~ of what you want to create ~ or you will not get there.  You will wander and wander and wander . . .

Take some time today to think about and feel about and write about what YOUR healing looks and feels like to you.  You are the only one that knows.

What does healing look and feel like?

If you are able ~ share a little of what you discovered with us.

If you’d like to explore this further, or any other facet of your grief journey, I work with people one-on-one.  If you’re in the Rockford, IL area, we can do that in person.  If you’re out of the local area, we can Facetime or Facebook Chat.  To learn more click: Working with Tom

My best-selling first book Permission to Mourn: A New Way to Do Grief is available at amazon.  If you haven’t read it, I hope you will.  Click here:  Tom's book.

If you’d like to take a step closer and work directly with me in a small online  group, the first 2021 offering of Permission to Mourn, Module 1 will be held February 1-22, 2021.  This is a 3-week deep dive into the first third of my first book. Take a look: YES, I am ready to accelerate my own healing.

  • Tom,

I finished your book and it gives me hope. My husband died suddenly 3 weeks ago of a massive heart attack. The pain and emptiness is like no other. My children ages 23 and 17 are hurting terribly and it devastates me to see them in so much pain. I pray for hope, for peaceable comfort during these dark and challenging days.
